West Zone Trials 2017
Please download this form for those Players who are interested in trialling for West Zone for 2017.
The zone will be holding a Muster Tuesday 4th October 2016 from 7pm for ages Under 10 to S/Women & S/Men
If you print off and fill in the form and take it to the Muster and hand to a Zone Offical.

U10 Gold Grand Final Champions 2016!
Boonah U10 Gold won the West Zone Grand Final on Saturday 3 September making them Season Premiers as well as Grand Final Champions!
Congratulations to the team, Coach Damien, Asst Coach Ken, Manager Cathy and of course all the family supporters!
End of Season Break-up and Presentation
The Boonah Soccer Club annual break-up and presentation will be held on Sunday 11 September from 11.30am to 4.00pm.
Presentation begins 12.00 noon, lunch and rides from 1.00pm.

Futsal Sign-On 2016-2017 Summer Season
The Futsal sign-on for the 2016/2017 Summer Season will be held on Monday 5th Sept and Tuesday 13th Sept at the Boonah Sports Complex from 3:30pm – 6:00pm.
Note: no registrations will be accepted after 6pm 13 September
Age Groups:
- Junior 9-11 years old mixed
- Junior 12-14 years old mixed
- Open 15 years old + mixed (A and B Divisions)
Teams:
- Juniors have individual sign-on (Team placements – Max of 2 Players will be accepted)
- Opens have Individual or Team sign-On (Min of 8 Players – Min of 3 Females)
Fees:
- Juniors – $80
- Opens – $110
- No EFTPOS cash only at sign on. Bank Transfer option is preferred, more info at sign on.
- Players must be financial before they can play.

Team Photo Day Tuesday 16 August
As previously notified our Club Team Photos have been booked with Whitehead Studios on the one afternoon Tuesday 16th August.
We have a very tight schedule to fit all our 14 teams into a two and a half hour timeslot, so everyone needs to be ready at least 15 minutes prior to each teams appointed time. Everyone needs to be in full team playing strip (club socks, shorts, soccer shoes & Team Jerseys).
If you can assist your team Manager & Coach to have your team ready & lined up in the positions they will stand in for the photo, to keep the whole process flowing.

Mega Sportz Camp Award – Congratulations Cassie!
Cassie Milano received the ‘The Lana Harch Spirit of Excellence Award’ at the Mega Soccer Camp last week. Well done Cassie!

Brisbane Roar Clinic now on Sunday 19 June
The Brisbane Roar Active Program has been rescheduled for 19 June. The Roar Clinic includes 2 hours of football fun with the Roar coaches, skill, drills and games in the Roar inflatable field.
If you have registered and paid previously, you are already booked in and don’t need to do anything.

QCSA State Titles Success!
The QCSA State Titles were held at Redbank Plains on the Labour Day long weekend with quite a few of our players having the opportunity to play for West Zone teams. It was a great experience and we would like to congratulate all the Boonah players!

Congratulations to Amber Pocock on being selected for the U/16 Girls Queensland team at the State titles! Amber is off to the CFFA National Titles in September. We wish her the best of luck!

Free Movie Night 14 May
The Scenic Rim Council is holding a Free Movie Night on May 14 at Coronation Park. Food will be available from the canteen. This is sure to be a fun family evening!

School Holidays Mega Sportz Soccer Camp
The very popular Mega Sportz Soccer Camp will be held again this year at Camp Moogerah from 27 June – 1 July 2016 for children in Grades 4 – 7.

Anzac Day March Boonah
The Boonah Soccer Club is marching on Monday 25 April in the Boonah Anzac Day March, we hope you can join us.
If you would like to march, meet us on Church Street at the Indian Takeway at 10.30am ready for the march to start at 10.40am followed by the service (optional) at 11.00am.
Please wear BSC training shirt and blue shorts and club socks and follow the sun smart guidelines – hat & sunscreen.

2016 Regional Futsal Championships
West Moreton was crowned overall champions of the 2016 Regional Futsal competition held over the Easter weekend. Quite a few Boonah players were part of these teams – congratulations to all those players!
Some Boonah players were also selected for the State squad or selected to trial – congratulations to those players also!

Working Bee Sunday 3 April
A working bee will be held this Sunday 3 April from 8.00am to get the fields ready for fixtures (starting on 16 April) and to cart gear from the BSC shed near the tennis courts to the club house.
If you can spare some time on Sunday to volunteer that would be much appreciated, see you there!

Meet Your Team Sunday 6 March
On Sunday 6 March at 12.00pm we will be holding a Muster Day / Meet your Team Day at Coronation Park.
At this muster you will meet your team mates, choose a Coach & Manager (if one has not already nominated for your team) and find out when training will be on. It is important that all players and at least one parent or caregiver attend this day.
There will be a BBQ lunch and drinks available at minimal cost.
See you all there!
U9/U10 Pre-Season Carnival 12 March
Following successful carnivals in 2014 and 2015, the QCSA has invited the Mega Sportz Soccer Camp (MSSC) staff and coaches to host an U9/U10 Pre-Season Carnival.
When: Saturday 12 March 2016. Each team that registers will be allocated a three hour time slot, between 8.00 am and 2.00 pm and will include two games.
Cost: Free! The club will cover the cost of the team registration.
Where: Lister Street, Sunnybank.
Special Features of the Carnival: There will be some live commentary, music, and even on-the-spot interviews with players/coaches and referees! The players will be made to feel like Superstars and have plenty of fun as well. Wherever possible, you will be playing other clubs’ teams than your own.
The Coach: Games will be 18 minutes a half and the coach will be allowed to be on the field to assist the players as they learn how to play on the full field.
How to Register: If your child would like to join in, please email Inge Moffatt at webmaster@boonahsoccerclub.org.au or call/SMS 0403 969 565 as soon as possible (they would like names by next week).
Note: Boonah will be given preference to a starting timeslot as we have to travel so please indicate if you would like an early start (8.00am) or a bit later (10.00am) and we will go with general consensus.
Hope to hear from all the U9 and U10 players. This will be a fun day, don’t miss out!
Coaches Needed for 2016 – Attend a Coaching Clinic
Are you thinking about coaching your child’s team this season? Coaching is a great way to get involved in a sport with your child, learn new skills and and get some exercise!
Coaches for the Boonah Soccer Club are usually parents/caregivers of players but can also be a relative, friend, senior player, or any member of the community. All that is required is a Club Membership and a Blue Card.
